Peer Review Process

The journal Research in Curriculum Studies is a publication founded on the principles of peer review and open access, in accordance with international publishing standards. Accordingly, the journal has adopted a double-blind peer-review procedure, such that neither the author is informed of the reviewers’ identities nor the reviewers are made aware of the author(s)’ names and affiliations. This ensures that evaluations are conducted purely on scientific grounds and free from any form of prejudice or bias. Manuscripts submitted to the system are sent for review only if they fall within the journal’s scope and meet its basic standards, and upon final approval of the Editor-in-Chief, they proceed to the publication process.

The journal Research in Curriculum Studies is committed to the highest standards of peer review. Respecting the principles of publication ethics, the journal adheres to the rules, policies, and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and follows the Executive Bylaw of the Law on Preventing and Combating Academic Misconduct. In addressing cases of potential misconduct or loss of credibility, the journal acts in accordance with the aforementioned committee’s regulations.

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality of the research methodology and the strength of the scholarly argumentation. After a manuscript is submitted through the journal’s management system by the author(s), it is first reviewed and examined by the journal office, the journal’s expert, and the Editor-in-Chief (within a maximum of one week). Therefore, authors are kindly requested to carefully read the instructions and guidelines for authors and prepare their manuscripts according to the Persian-language author guidelines before submission. After the initial assessment by the journal’s Executive Manager, and upon the first-stage approval of the Editor-in-Chief, the manuscript is sent to qualified reviewers for evaluation.
